Establish target audience and communication channels in organisations
Learners start the course considering their own organisation (current or previous) to set the context for acquiring and applying the skills and knowledge gained in this course. The pre-requisites for any of communication are simply: knowing the target audience is, determining what needs to be communicated and selecting the most appropriate communication or tools.
By the end of this chapter, learners will be able to establish the various stakeholders in the organisation with whom they need to communicate as well as identify and maintain the various channels of communication within an organisational context. In addition, a case study presented will also serve as the spine and background story that runs throughout the course to progressively flesh out the course contents.
